Correlators in AdS3 string theory
The computation of two and three point functions in the Coulomb gas free field approach to string theory in the SL(2,R)/U(1) black hole background is reviewed. An interesting relation arises when comparing the results obtained using two different screening operators. The formalism is then modified to study string theory propagating in AdS3 which is considered as the direct product of the SL(2)/...
متن کاملString Theory on AdS3/ZN
We study string theory on singular ZN quotients of AdS3, corresponding to spaces with conical defects. The spectrum is computed using the orbifold procedure. It is shown that spectral flow may be used to generate the twisted sectors. We further compute the thermal partition function and show that it correctly reproduces the spectrum.
متن کاملThermal Correlators in Little String Theory
Little string theories (LST) [1, 2] are strongly interacting string theories, which exhibit phenomena quite different from their critical counterparts. Most notably, they do not contain a massless graviton in their spectrum. In their DLCQ definition [3] the strings appear in a very similar fashion to the critical strings, with the important difference being that the amplitude for splitting and ...
متن کاملDEVELOPMENT IN STRING THEORY
The string theory is a fast moving subject, both physics wise and in the respect of mathematics. In order to keep up with the discipline it is important to move with new ideas which are being stressed. Here I wish to give extracts from new papers of ideas which I have recently found interesting. There are six papers which are involved: I ."Strings formulated directly in 4 dimensions " A. N...
متن کاملAdS3/LCFT2 – Correlators in New Massive Gravity
We calculate 2-point correlators for New Massive Gravity at the chiral point and find that they behave precisely as those of a logarithmic conformal field theory, which is characterized in addition to the central charges cL = cR = 0 by ‘new anomalies’ bL = bR = −σ 12l GN , where σ is the sign of the Einstein–Hilbert term, l the AdS radius and GN Newton’s constant.
